  • Code Ninja

    June 11th, 2013

I didn’t quite make it to the Ninja Level, yet πŸ˜‰

But I’m working on it. Learning to code, improve your coding skills, look into new Programming Languages or even just to understand how code works isn’t easy.

The Good News: there is an easy way to start the Codeacademy.

I started last year and made a huge break when I worked full time as Web Developer and CIR but now I’m getting back into it. I should have made a couple of Minutes each day even when I had a job. The Lessons are short and easy to save and pick up another time.

No more excuses, not to learn to code or look into other programming languages. Codeacademy is here

  • Mead making

    January 4th, 2013

My wife’s Christmas present was a 5gal Carboy, corks, an device to put corks into wine bottles and a book about [[Mead]] making.

The last weekend in 2012 we had the time to get 15lbs of honey and start our experiment to make Mead.

Right now I have a 5gal bucket of Honeywater mixed with yeast and yeast nutrient in my dining room bubbling every couple of seconds trough its air lock. Let’s hope it turns out good.

  • Visit to Rockland

    July 25th, 2012

A friend had a Reggae Show in Rockland Harbor, it was a pretty nice day and i made a lot of neat pictures from Rockland, Maine, here are a couple. I made it all the way out to [[Rockland Harbor Breakwater Light]] (4300 ft or 1300 m), quite a walk.

  • Facebook Plugin

    June 13th, 2012

Just bundled my Website together with my Facebook Account, lets see how that will work out.

Facebook released an App for [[Wordpress]] earlier this week. I suppose to tie a Blog and a Facebook Account together. I’m extremely curious how this will work out.

  • I was at a Party

    February 11th, 2012

it was a weird one. A Friend of my Woman got diagnosed with Lung Cancer a couple of Weeks ago, her prognoses was that she had 2 Weeks left. A devastating message.

My wife was visiting her a couple of days later, she was dancing at home and found her Peace. Then we visited her “Going Away” Party. It is a weird feeling when you know that when you leave that party it is very likely you never see that person again. The Party itself wasn’t sad more like a normal Birthday Party or some Family & Friend gathering. But there was a long Line and everybody wanted to see her. She mad a sick but happy impression but it still was weird to see her saying good bye.

A couple of days ago she passed away, it was sad but expected. A good friend is gone, we will never see her again (but we will have some Margaritas and remember her ).

  • Goodbye Ubuntu, Hello Fedora

    December 18th, 2011

I used [[Ubuntu]] for a couple of years, i liked the fixed Release Schedule, the new Features and the Hardware Compatibility. I think Ubuntu did a lot for bringing the Linux DesktopΒ  OS to the Mainstream Customers.

But now i switched to (back) [[Fedora]]. I always liked Fedora but for some strange Reason it never liked my Hardware. But it works very neat on my new HP Laptop .
